Transition from Romantic School to Hague School

The Transition from Romantic to Hague School is the periode between these two important painting styles wherein the brushstroke of these artists was already getting looser than the Romantic School, but still the subjects were the same. This was relatively a short periode and not many painters in particular were known for this style of painting. In this category you will find paintings and watercolours by the artists J.W. van Borselen, Georgius Heerebaart, Margaretha Roosenboom and P.A. Schipperus.
